It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! My holiday decorating style this year is simple and rustic. I used a lot of natural colored decorations along with fresh greens and pinecones. What do you think?
For my kitchen tablescape, I draped flannel fabric in a vintage wooden tray along with greenery, pinecones, ornaments and lanterns.
The family room sofa is adorned with cable knit pillows and my new Pottery Barn jingle pillow. This was just too cute not to buy!
This year I used the chalkboard that I recently made as the focal point of the mantel and decorated around it. I had the trees from previous years and made a quick trip to Home Goods (where else would I go to look for decorator items?) to get the little wooden tree and old fashioned looking boxes.
Last year at this time I was frantically knitting stockings for everyone. This year I can sit back and just enjoy them!
My new find is an olive bucket from Turkey. I got this idea of how to decorate it for the holidays from Pinterest.
I just love the simplicity of putting greenery and pinecones in a bowl, tray, or whatever you have laying around.
Of course, you can’t forget the tree! That is one my absolute favorites things to decorate. Each ornament invokes a special memory of what we did that year!
It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
Happy holidays to you and your family!
