I love sipping hot cocoa when the weather starts to turn a little nippy. It’s the perfect way to warm up from the inside. Lately I have been seeing so many adorable mugs, marshmallows in cute shapes and flavors, peppermint sticks, etc. So I thought it’s time for me to make a hot cocoa cart. Since my children are all grown, I thought it would be even more fun to make a hot cocoa cart for adults!
I put together a little collection of necessities you’ll need when setting up a hot cocoa cart.* Isn’t the mug with the sweater adorable?! 1. Threshold Bar Cart
The top shelf of the cart is where I placed the large pump thermos of hot milk, cocoa, whipped cream, napkins and all the goodies such as chocolate sticks, chocolate swirls, peppermint and vanilla marshmallows and peppermint sticks.
These jars were only $3 at Target and were just perfect to hold the marshmallows and peppermint sticks.
A hot cocoa cart for adults is the same as any other hot cocoa cart except with the addition of some wonderful flavored drinks such as Kahlua, Baileys and Smirnoff marshmallow flavored vodka. There are other drinks you may want to use but these were the top on my list to try.
You can’t have hot chocolate without whipped creme and chocolate swirls on top!
The best feature of using a bar cart is that it’s portable and you can wheel it to practically any room of the house. Right now I have it in the dining room but I think I may move it into the kitchen instead.
Don’t forget that this is a hot cocoa cart for adults. Be sure to move the alcohol to another area when done (if needed) and please don’t forget that poinsettias are mildly toxic to dogs and cats.
